Parent Involvement
Open communication and input from parents is an important part of our program. Parents are welcome to visit at any time and we invite parents to share their special talents and ideas throughout the year. Parents may come into the class and share a special activity such as reading to the children, cooking, sharing information about their occupations.
In the past we have had parents who were nurses, police officers, nutritionists, veterinarians, scientists, fire fighters, etc. share their occupations.
We have many different ways in which you could participate in your child’s experience at Joyful Noises.
- We have a parent bulletin board and a resource area with books and articles for sharing in our lobby.
- We have a parent to parent information area and parent business card resource in our monthly newsletter to help our parents.
- Our parents may volunteer to become Room Parents and help coordinate family activities, fundraisers, clothing and food drives, teacher appreciation and our end of the year family picnic.
- Parents may also volunteer to help drive and chaperone the children at field trips.
- Parents periodically fill out confidential evaluations to assist us in having the best program possible.
